OIT Space Camp
In the summer of 2004 OIT and Southern Oregon University hosted a space camp for 16 high school students. During the week of camp they constructed robots, made experiments for outer space and learned about space exploration.
They experienced weightlessness in the pool! They were tasked with joining two "shuttles" (actually two 5 gallon buckets with various bolts and tubes to connect) while being weightless in the water.
They did great, and had a good time as well! Thanks to the many volunteers who made it possible. Trevor Oswald, Sam VanMeter, Ron Asbill, Sharon Asbill and Dan Benson.
We were impressed by the high caliber of students attending the camp!
